Tēnā koutou e te whānau
Nau mai, hoki mai! Welcome back!
We hope you had a restful Easter holiday filled with kai, friends and whānau fun. The time of Haratua (around April and May) sees us settling back into Playcentre sessions, enjoying that weekly routine that might be the only time we get the tamariki out of pyjamas all week! But of course it’s nice to know our Playcentre whānau will still welcome us with open arms, even if PJs are the order of the day.
Playcentre Representatives
This month you’ll be choosing the wonderful people who will represent your Centre and Rōpū at Ngā hui ā-whare.
Ngā hui ā-whare 2023 Information Booklet sent out last week details the expectations and time commitment of the Rep role, and the election process. Watch your @Playcentre email inbox for future confirmation on hui dates in your region.
A big awhi to those of you considering stepping into this role, it can be daunting to take on a new position but Playcentre is all about emergent leadership, which means the only prerequisites that you need are an insatiable appetite for learning and capacity to contribute! We on the board look forward to working with you.
P.S. Playcentre has a storied history of developing leadership skills in adults, including a former Prime Minister and members of Cabinet, so who knows where this journey might take you?!
