Each month we let you know which policies/ procedures are up for review so you can give us feedback. Centres as a whānau decide whether the national policy/ procedure is suitable or if changes might be required. Centres may choose to do this in a way that suits their centre, ensuring that they allocate a person to submit feedback.

Positive guidance | Playcentre

With the large number of Health and Safety Procedures we require, we suggest times when refreshers at the centre could happen. We hope that this supports the running of your centre, as well as providing an opportunity for feedback.

A reminder that any Centres may also have their own Centre Practices, however, these practices must meet the requirements of Playcentre Aotearoa Policies and procedures as a minimum, with the Centre Practice providing detail as to how the centre enacts the policy or procedure where required. eg with the laundering procedure, the Centre Practice may state that ‘Whānau take washing home after each session as per the roster sent out at the beginning of the term’.

Some ideas for reviewing Policies and Procedures

  1.    Discussion as a group a Centre Business Meeting,
  2.    Using email to distribute links to Policies to all members and seek feedback,
  3.    Using other communication tools used by the Centre to distribute policy and procedures for review and seeking feedback.
  4.   Print out documents and put them somewhere prominent for whanau to review and comment on.

A schedule for Policy review can be found here. However spontaneous review is necessary and we welcome feedback on any policy or procedures to [email protected] at any time.

Recently updated Policies and Procedures can be found in  Policies and Procedures | Playcentre. We value your feedback, so please keep this coming. Significant changes to Policy or Procedure can take time to update as they go through a thorough review and approval process.
