Play workshops to inspire you to learn new play ideas that you can take back and share with the tamariki at your centre and at home.
Haere mai, nau ki te hui ahurei ākonga – the Playcentre Festival of Learning! The Playcentre PLD and Education teams, with funding from ACE Aotearoa, are bringing a series of Play Days and online learning events to you as part of the national Adult Learner’s Week (6-12 September). In fact, there is so much learning that we are spreading the festival out over six weeks so that we can make it across Aotearoa.
Playcentre is about our whānau growing together and these workshops give parents, grandparents and caregivers in Playcentre the opportunity to grow and learn as kaiako.
A series of fun play workshops and online Zoom hui for adults in Playcentre. Some of the topics on offer:
These workshops and online Zooms will inspire you to learn new play ideas that you can take back and share with the tamariki at your centre and at home.
We will also take this opportunity to recognise over seventy Playcentre Education graduates across the country.
Young babies are welcome. These workshops are aimed at celebrating and growing adults within Playcentre. Please team up with your centre whānau to share care of other children so that adults can be fully involved in the workshops as learners.
No, these workshops are short workshops just for your own learning. They’ll give you a taster of what the Playcentre Education programme offers though! Playcentre tutors will be on hand to help you learn more about the Playcentre Education programme and how to enrol.
