Providing Centres with reliable internet
Playcentre Aotearoa has heard your concerns about having to hotspot and the reliability issues you have been having. So, we have started rolling out a new network and cellphone plan which Playcentre Aotearoa will continue to pay for.
What you can expect?
We currently have wireless broadband modems and SIM cards being sent to your Centre Advisor who will deliver these to you. Your Centre Advisor will also plug in and test the new internet connection while they are there. They will give you a SIM card and let you know that this needs to be swapped into your cellphone when you notice the current cellphone stops working.
There is a small handful of centres where wireless broadband doesn’t work and for these centres we are still exploring the best option to provide you with a reliable and secure network. We will be in touch independently with these centres.
You will need to contact the supplier or supporter of your printer to get this connected to the new network.
Your cellphone numbers will remain the same if you currently have a cellphone. If you do not have a cellphone currently then you will be allocated a new number from our new provider.
Once the network is installed you are more than welcome to start using this service immediately and stop using your hotspot!
You may need to restart your phone after inserting the 2 degrees SIM card. If there are any issues with the spark modem please call 0800 800 123.
If you need support with this transition, please contact your Centre Advisor.
Thank you and hopefully this will make your life easier!
Ngā mihi,
