If you want to experience a fun and safe environment to play and learn, where children can just be children and you can belong to a quality early childhood facility with a real community feel then Rangiora Playcentre is the place for you and your children. We encourage mums and dads, whanau and friends to come along with their children and take a hands-on role in their child's early education. We also actively encourage the Playcentre training programme for all of our parents.

About our Playcentre:

Adult to children ratios never more than 1:5.

Age range 0-6, a mix of babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Parent co-operative, our centre is managed and run by parents. We have a fully qualified supervisor.

Term outings for the family, for example, a trip to the beach, Westburn Bike Park, the Antarctic Centre, Willowbank, Mandeville steam trains and many more.

Longer Monday session designed for the over 3's with a sit down lunch at the kai table and story time. We run several trips a year during the Monday session such as visiting the theatre, a gymnastics class and walks to the library.

We asked some of our parents why they chose to come to Rangiora Playcentre...

"When I moved here from the UK 2 years ago I was looking for an early childhood experience that both my son and myself would enjoy together and if I'm honest I was looking to make friends for myself too. I'm glad I chose Rangiora Playcentre as I've met some great people, both adults and kids and when I had my baby daughter, friends I made at Playcentre got together to help me out with childcare and lifts etc. at a time when I really missed my own family.'

'I came and checked out Rangiora Playcentre because it was local to my house. My children instantly loved the environment. They felt safe and secure and really loved the supervisor'.
