Darfield Playcentre services the wider community of Darfield and surrounding townships. Currently we run 4 group supervised sessions.

- We believe learning should be exciting, where a sense of wonder is maintained.

- We are a parent co-operative, managing the centre and most importantly to us, playing with and learning alongside the children and their parents.

- We provide a quality early childhood education facility encompassing a free play and self-choice programme for all children aged 0-6 years.

- We believe that each child is unique and that children reach their full potential when parents understand their development and take part in the learning process.

- We empower parents/caregivers to understand and support their family’s learning needs by offering them the skills and knowledge to be the best educators they can be. The provision of a parent education programme is therefore embraced by us.

- Playcentre families and whaanau are supported by regular contact with each other and through social occasions.

- We are committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment, offering a variety of learning opportunities meeting individual and developmental needs of children and equipping them on their journey of life long learning.
